September 13th, education meeting for new graduate student was held in the meeting hall in our new building. Bin Han, deputy director, hosted the meeting.

Shenli Si, Party committee secretary, first made a welcome speech. He requested students to learn how to make good study and be a good person. He hoped that the students academically to study hard and make innovations, and be good at innovation, reduce the adverse social impact of their culture; to be the person who can get along with the instructors, improving personality and improving their overall quality.

Hongwei Xue, deputy director, introduced our institute from overall situation, like scientific progress platforms building and so on, he pointed to the students the direction of learning and hoped that after a few years of learning they could become the national scientist with vast knowledge, strong ambitions and truth-seeking spirit.

Qiguang Wen, director of degree committee, made a detailed introduction of rotation. Associate Prof. Weining Sun systematically introduced Berkeley Molecular Life Sciences Research Center.

Finally Yungang Shen, academician, made a report titled h;research and learningh; on the relations of the known and unknown, and the self-study, breadth and depth, experiment and thought, discussion and advice. After the report, students discussed actively.
