Applications are invited for assistant research fellow/research assistant/Post-doctoral research associate position in the group of Dr. Hiromu Kameoka at China Academy of Science (CAS) Center for Excellence in Molecular Plant Sciences (CEMPS). Our group also belongs to Centre of Excellence for Plant and Microbial Science (CEPAMS), a CAS-John Innes Centre (JIC) joint research centre. 

Job Description

For Assistant research fellow or Research Assistant:

We are working on Arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) symbiosis. The candidate will work with Dr. Hiromu Kameoka on his project, as well as working independently on his/her own research project in AM symbiosis or related fields. Mentoring students and running the lab with Dr. Hiromu Kameoka are also his/her duty. We provide competitive salary and a steady work environment to the suitable candidate. The new recruitment will work at CAS Center for Excellence in Molecular Plant Sciences, Shanghai, China. 

For Post-doctoral research fellow:

The successful candidate will participate in projects related to :1. identification of signaling molecules regulating the growth/symbiosis of AM fungi, 2. exploration of unidentified plant hormone KL / analysis of KL biosynthesis and metabolic pathways, or 3. Analysis of AM fungal genes involved in the AM symbiosis signal. The candidate can also apply grants and work independently on his/her own projects. We offer a competitive salary according to the qualification of applicants and CEMPS standards. Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate who has a PhD in biology, chemistry, or any other related research discipline. The expertise and skills to manage his/her research project are required. Good communication and interpersonal skills are also essential. 

Special requirement for Assistant research fellow: CEMPS will check the post-doc certificate, so the applicant should have post-doc experience for at least 2 years.

Special requirement for Post-doctoral research fellow: below 35 (or 38, if the applicant is competitive) years’ old.
